I am dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of our community, the most important thing that drew my wife and me here.  I also understand, from speaking to members of our community, that I am not alone in that sense.  Certainly, I am grateful that our Township has opened its arms to my family. However, I’ve learned since moving here that the Township has been allowed to grow too quickly, haphazardly, and dramatically, resulting in the mass destruction of our natural habitat and environmental problems for both the new residents and the community as a whole.

For these reasons, this I promise you: on my watch, anything or anyone that threatens to adversely impact our community from an environmental sense, including land developers, will have to meet very strict design and performance criteria before, during, and after any proposed development.  However, I also recognize that under certain circumstances development may be both necessary and improve our community.  Ultimately, I promise to spend as much time as it takes to understand every benefit and detriment to a development activity (with an emphasis on environmental impacts) and insist that continuing and further development is undertaken in a responsible, reasonable manner that ensures maximum benefit/minimal adverse impact to our community.  I will also explore how our local ordinances may be amended to make it exceedingly difficult for developers and other corporations to exploit this community.
